Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
For clients who are uninsured or choosing not to use health insurance for these services
You have the right to know what your care is expected to cost. If you do not have health insurance, or you have insurance but do not want to submit a claim for these services, federal law generally gives you the right to receive a written Good Faith Estimate of expected charges.
When you can receive an estimate

If you schedule care at least 3 business days in advance, the estimate is generally due within 1 business day after scheduling. If you schedule at least 10 business days in advance, it is generally due within 3 business days after scheduling.

Whenever you request a Good Faith Estimate even before scheduling care.

We can provide the estimate on paper or electronically, based on your preferred delivery method.
What the estimate includes
Your Good Faith Estimate will describe the items or services reasonably expected from The Art Room based on the information known when the estimate is prepared, along with the expected charges. For ongoing therapy, the estimate may cover a recurring period of care.
If your bill is much higher than the estimate
If a bill from a provider or facility is at least $400 more than that provider or facility's Good Faith Estimate, you may be eligible to use the federal Patient-Provider Dispute Resolution process. A dispute generally must be started within 120 calendar days of the date on the original bill. Clients who plan to use Mentaya or submit superbills/claims for out-of-network reimbursement are seeking to use health insurance for these services and are not treated as self-pay for a specific Good Faith Estimate. If your insurance/reimbursement plans change, please let us know so we can update your paperwork when needed. You may request a Good Faith Estimate from The Art Room at any time.
