Disclaimer

Effective date: September 2026

This Disclaimer explains the purpose and limitations of information shared by The Art Room Center for Creative Healing, LLC (“The Art Room,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) through our website, blog, downloadable resources, and professional social media accounts.

Please read it alongside our Terms of Use and Website Privacy Policy. Clinical services and program participation are also subject to their own informed consent, financial, and registration agreements.

1. Not a crisis or emergency service

The Art Room does not provide 24-hour crisis services. Website forms, email, voicemail, client-portal messages, and social media messages are not continuously monitored and should not be used to request emergency assistance.

In the United States, call or text 988 for suicide, mental health, or substance-use crisis support. For immediate physical danger or a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not wait for a response from our practice. SAMHSA

2. Educational information—not individualized treatment

Our public content is intended for general education and information. This includes articles, videos, social media posts, creative prompts, downloadable materials, and descriptions of therapeutic approaches.

This content is not an individualized assessment, diagnosis, treatment plan, or recommendation for your particular circumstances. It does not replace care from an appropriately qualified professional.

An experience described in a post may feel familiar without establishing that a particular diagnosis or treatment approach applies to you. Likewise, trying a creative activity or reflection exercise from our content is not the same as receiving art therapy or psychotherapy.

Please discuss questions about your symptoms, treatment, or suitability for a particular approach with a qualified provider. Do not disregard professional advice or delay seeking care because of something you read or view in our public content.

3. Contacting us and establishing care

Reading our content, following our social media accounts, submitting an inquiry, or scheduling an introductory consultation does not, by itself, establish an ongoing therapist-client relationship.

An introductory consultation provides an opportunity to discuss your interests, ask questions, and explore whether our services may be a suitable fit. It does not automatically confirm acceptance into ongoing treatment or guarantee appointment availability.

Clinical services begin through an agreed intake and treatment process with the assigned clinician. This explanation does not remove any professional responsibilities that apply to services we actually provide.

Information submitted while seeking or arranging care may receive health-information protections even before an ongoing treatment relationship is established. The absence of an established relationship does not mean that information is unprotected or that you have waived applicable privacy rights. HHS.gov

Please use general website inquiries for scheduling and administrative questions. Contact us for instructions on sharing sensitive clinical information through an appropriate process.

4. Therapy and nonclinical programs are different

Art Clubs, creative classes, and wellness workshops identified as nonclinical offerings are not psychotherapy or clinical art therapy treatment. Participation in those offerings does not establish a therapist-client relationship.

These programs may provide opportunities for creativity, reflection, learning, or connection. Being led by a licensed therapist does not, by itself, make an activity clinical treatment.

Groups or programs expressly identified as therapy services follow a separate clinical consent and treatment process.

Please review the description and registration information for each offering. Contact us before registering when you are unsure whether a program is a clinical service or a nonclinical activity.

5. No guarantee of results

Therapy experiences, progress, and outcomes vary. Treatment may develop gradually or differently than expected, and no particular outcome can be guaranteed.

Descriptions of therapeutic approaches, potential benefits, educational examples, and individual experiences are not promises that you will achieve a particular result or improve within a particular timeframe.

Similarly, participation in an Art Club, workshop, or educational activity does not guarantee a specific emotional, behavioral, or health-related outcome.

6. Social media, comments, and reviews

Our professional social media content is educational and is not a substitute for individual care. We do not provide psychotherapy, diagnostic assessments, or crisis assistance through public comments or social media direct messages.

Public comments, reviews, and other interactions may be visible to others and may reveal an association with our practice. Please avoid sharing sensitive personal or clinical information through public channels.

To protect privacy, we do not use public replies to confirm whether someone is a client or to discuss an individual’s treatment. Someone’s decision to describe their own care publicly does not, by itself, authorize us to disclose protected information in response. HHS.gov

There is no obligation to follow, like, comment on, or review our practice. A listing on a review website is not, by itself, a request for a review. Nothing in this Disclaimer prohibits lawful reviews, criticism, or complaints.

For questions or concerns about services you receive, please use the communication methods provided by your clinician or contact our office rather than relying on a public post.

7. Website accuracy and outside resources

We work to provide useful, accurate information, but we cannot guarantee that every page or resource will always be complete, current, error-free, or available. Educational content may not address every circumstance or reflect every development in a field.

Please contact us to confirm details that are important to a service or registration decision. Correcting website information does not, by itself, change a previously agreed fee or the terms of a confirmed registration.

We may link to outside resources, organizations, products, or services for information or convenience. A link does not, by itself, mean that we endorse every statement, product, or service offered by that source.

Outside providers may have their own terms and privacy practices. Please review those before using their services or submitting information. These statements do not eliminate The Art Room’s responsibilities for its own conduct or its handling of your information.

8. Scope of this Disclaimer and your rights

This Disclaimer addresses our public educational content and website use. It does not replace informed consent, authorize treatment, or change the agreements governing clinical services or program participation.

Any applicable limitations of liability for public website use are described in our Terms of Use. This Disclaimer does not create additional or broader limitations.

Nothing in this Disclaimer waives our professional duties or limits responsibility for clinical care, professional negligence, privacy or confidentiality breaches, fraud, gross negligence, intentional misconduct, or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Our Website Privacy Policy explains how we handle information collected through the website and related tools. Our separate Notice of Privacy Practices addresses protected health information associated with clinical services.

You retain applicable rights to raise concerns, request information, and contact a licensing board or other appropriate authority.

9. Changes to this Disclaimer

We may update this Disclaimer as our content, services, or applicable requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.

When additional notice or consent is required, we will provide that notice or obtain that consent. Posting an updated Disclaimer does not retroactively change an existing clinical, financial, or registration agreement or replace an authorization required by law.
